Creator Terms

1. About these terms

These terms cover the FirstSnag creator program between you (the "creator") and us. They're part of our Terms of Service. Tracking and payouts run through our payment provider's affiliate system (Lemon Squeezy), and you'll also need to accept its affiliate terms.

2. Joining

• Apply by emailing creators@firstsnag.com. We approve creators at our discretion.
• You must be 18 or older. If you're younger, a parent or guardian must join on your behalf and agree to these terms.
• You need a payout account with our payment provider and must give it the tax information it asks for (for example a W-9 or W-8).

3. Links and tracking

You get a personal link and, if you like, a code. A customer counts as yours (a "referred customer") when they buy Pro within 30 days of clicking your link, or with your code, as recorded by our payment provider's tracking. People who were already customers, and purchases by you or your household, don't count. If tracking fails, we'll fix it when we reasonably can, but we can't pay for sales that were never recorded.

4. Commission

You earn 25% of net revenue from each referred customer's Pro payments during their first 12 months, counted from their first payment. "Net revenue" means what the customer paid, not counting sales tax or VAT, and minus refunds, chargebacks and reversals. No commission is paid on free months, on payments after those 12 months, or on purchases that break these terms.

5. Payouts

Commission is held for 30 days after each payment so refunds and chargebacks can clear. After that it's paid through our payment provider on its payout schedule, once your balance reaches $10. The provider may charge its own payout fee. If a payment is refunded or charged back after you've been paid for it, we may take that commission back from future payouts.

6. Disclosure (required)

US law (the FTC's Endorsement Guides) requires you to tell your audience that you earn money when they sign up through you. So do we. In every post, video, story or stream where you mention FirstSnag:

• Say it clearly and at the start, near the mention, in the same language as your content.
• In video, say it out loud and show it on screen in the first few seconds. In a livestream, repeat it from time to time.
• Use plain words, like: "I get a commission if you sign up for FirstSnag with my link. #ad"
• These are not enough on their own: "#partner", "#ambassador", "#sp", "affiliate link", a disclosure only in your bio, in comments, or behind "more", or a platform's paid-partnership label without your own words.
• If you got Pro for free, say that too.

We may review your content and ask you to fix a disclosure. If you don't fix it promptly, we may hold commission earned from that content and remove you from the program.

7. Honest content

• Use FirstSnag yourself before you promote it, and only say things you believe are true.
• Be clear about how it works: it's a Windows app, the PC has to stay on, and it uses the viewer's own Facebook account.
• Don't hide the risk: Facebook's terms don't allow automated tools, and accounts can be restricted.
• No promises about results or income ("you'll make $500 a week flipping", "guaranteed deals").
• Never say or suggest that Facebook or Meta approves of, partners with or endorses FirstSnag, or that there's no risk to an account.
• No fake reviews, fake testimonials or made-up results.

8. Not allowed

• Paid ads for FirstSnag on Facebook or Instagram.
• Bidding on our name, or misspellings of it, in search or app-store ads.
• Posting your link or code on coupon, deal, cashback or rebate sites.
• Spam: unsolicited emails, texts, DMs or comments, or posting in groups or marketplaces that don't allow it.
• Using our name or logo in your username, domain or ad account in a way that makes you look like us.
• Content that's illegal, hateful, sexual, or aimed at children under 13.
• Buying through your own link, or offering cash or prizes for sign-ups without our written OK.

9. Using our brand

While you're in the program, you may use our name, logo and product screenshots to promote FirstSnag under these terms. Don't change the logo, and don't use Facebook's or Meta's logos in a way that suggests a connection. This permission ends when you leave the program.

10. Our relationship

You're an independent creator, not our employee, agent or partner, and the program isn't exclusive on either side. You're responsible for your own taxes. Our limits on liability in the Terms of Service apply to the program.

11. Ending and changes

Either of us can end your participation at any time by email. When it ends, stop using our brand and your link. We'll pay commission that's already cleared the hold, except commission connected to a breach of these terms.

We may change these terms or the commission rate by emailing you at least 30 days before the change. Changes don't affect commission you've already earned.
