1. The program
The FirstSnag referral program ("give a month, get a month") lets Pro customers invite friends. The friend gets their first month of Pro free, and the person who referred them gets a free month once the friend has paid for one. These terms are part of our Terms of Service; words defined there mean the same here.
2. Who can refer
Any Pro customer whose account is in good standing can refer. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you. Your referral link is personal to you; we may change its format.
3. Your friend's free month
A new customer who signs up for Pro monthly through your link gets their first month at no charge. A payment card is required at sign-up. After the free month, Pro renews at the regular price unless they cancel before then. "New customer" means someone who has never had Pro before, under any account, card or device.
4. Your free month
You earn one free month of Pro for each qualified referral. A referral qualifies when all of these are true:
- your friend signed up for Pro through your link;
- after their free month, they paid for their first full month;
- that payment is past the 14-day refund window and wasn't refunded or charged back; and
- the referral passes the checks in section 7.
We add the free month to your account within 7 days after the referral qualifies. On a monthly plan it covers your next charge; on a yearly plan it moves your renewal date back by a month.
5. Limits
- You can earn up to 6 free months in any 12-month period.
- Rewards are Pro credit only. They have no cash value and can't be sold, transferred, exchanged or combined with other accounts.
- Unused credit ends if your account is closed for breaking our terms.
6. What doesn't qualify
- Referring yourself, or another account you control.
- A sign-up that uses the same payment card, the same computer, or the same home internet connection as the referrer.
- People who only use the Free plan, or who were already customers.
- Sign-ups made with fake details, disposable or prepaid cards used to dodge these checks, or anything else meant to game the program.
- Sign-ups that come from spam or from breaking the rules in section 8.
7. How we check
To keep the program fair, we compare the referrer and the friend on limited card details from our payment provider (never the full card number), the anonymous device ID the app uses for licensing, and IP addresses. Unusual activity, like many sign-ups in a short time, is reviewed by a person, and we may ask you for more information. Our Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled.
8. Sharing your link
- Share it with people you think would want FirstSnag. Be honest about what it does.
- Don't send unsolicited bulk emails, texts or messages, and don't post your link where the site or group doesn't allow it.
- Don't buy ads that use our name, post your link on coupon or deal sites, or pretend to speak for us.
- Never say that Facebook or Meta approves of FirstSnag.
- If you get paid to promote us, or you make content about it regularly, use the creator program instead.
9. Abuse
If we believe a referral breaks these terms, we may hold, reverse or cancel the reward, remove you from the program and, in serious cases, end your license under our Terms of Service. We decide whether a referral qualifies, and we'll explain our decision if you ask.
10. Changes and ending the program
We may change or end the program at any time. We'll post changes on this page and, for anything that affects you, email you first. Rewards for referrals that qualified before a change or the end of the program will still be given.
Rewards are service credit, not income, but you're responsible for any taxes that may apply to you.
